Division Overview:Crown's Closures, Aerosol & Promotional Packaging (CAPP) Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for the largest consumer packaging companies in North America. Our distinguished list of clients including SC Johnson, Abbott Laboratories and Unilever. We manufacture total packaging solutions including:Closures: We manufacture a variety of decorative food and metal vacuum sealed closures, metal and composite closures, capping systems for glass and plastic container manufacturers. Aerosol Packaging: We manufacture cans and ends for manufacturers of personal care, food, household and industrial products. We offer our customers a broad range of products including multiple sizes, color schemes and shaped packaging. Promotional and Specialty Packaging: We manufacture a wide array of decorative containers with numerous lid and closure variations. Here is your chance to join the CAPP Division.Position Overview:The Accounting Manager isresponsible for overseeing all accounting functions including month end processes, preparing financial reports, reconciliations, payroll, sales commissions, and accounts payable.Duties And Responsibilities:Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Accounting Manager responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following: Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries to accounts documenting business transactionsPrepares GL Account and Bank ReconciliationPrepares financial statements and other reports to summarize the company's financial position.Maintains Accounting Policy databaseIdentifies control gaps, develops and implements appropriate control procedures to resolve control deficiencies Assists in preparation for internal and external auditsDevelop financial analysis and cost accounting skillsOversees payroll and AP functionsPerforms other job-related duties as required or assigned Qualifications:In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting or financeSolid understanding of accounting concepts and GAAPProven track record of working in a team environment with a variety of departmentsExperience working with an ERP systemThree (3) years Plant Manufacturing experience Approximately 10% overnight travelMay occasionally need to work evening or weekend hoursPreferred RequirementsPackaging industry experienceAS400 experienceCompetenciesMust have very strong PC skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel (advanced)Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills.Ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energyPosition requires someone who is self-motivated, analytical problem solver and has excellent communication skillsStrong organizational skillsStrong written and verbal skillsStrong work ethic with ability to work with little supervisionAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring completion Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl The associate may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
