With 10 companies and counting, we are always looking for talented individuals to join our team.Position Summary:We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join Pine. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to manage the accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance for both the management and operating companies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of private equity accounting principles and a proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.Details:
  • This is a full-time role reporting to the Assistant Controller
    • Location: RemoteWhat you'll do:
      • Financial Reporting
        • Review, and consolidate accurate financial statements for the management and operating companies, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
        • Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results of the management company.
          • Management of Accounting Operations
            • Provide OpCos guidance and support in day-to-day operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
            • Ensure accurate recording of transactions, proper classification of expenses, and timely processing of invoices and payments.
            • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and streamline operations.
              • Regulatory Compliance and Audit Support
                • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements, including tax filings and regulatory submissions.
                • Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
                • Assist in preparing schedules and support materials for audits, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
                  • Intercompany Transactions and Reporting
                    • Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations, ensuring accurate recording and reporting in accordance with firm policies.
                    • Manage consolidation of financial results, eliminating intercompany balances and preparing consolidated financial statements.What you'll bring:
                      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or relevant certification preferred.
                        • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with at least 2 years in private equity or investment management.
                          • Strong knowledge of GAAP, private equity accounting practices, and fund structures.
                            • Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools; experience with ERP systems preferred.
                              • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
                                • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of collaborating with various stakeholders.
