What You'll Do:

ECS Limited has an exciting opportunity for a Accounting Program System Administrator to join our rapidly growing Corporate accounting team in Chantilly with a primary focus on the administration of Microsoft Dynamics. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail with the ability to proactively respond to requests to prevent potential issues, as well as establishing new and optimizing existing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of accounting software systems.
  • Ensure systems are updated, secure, and running efficiently.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Provide technical support to accounting staff on system use.
  • Address and resolve user issues promptly.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement new software solutions and system upgrades.
  • Manage system integrations with other business applications.
  • Ensure seamless data flow between systems.
  • Maintain system security by setting up and managing user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
  • Ensure systems comply with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GAAP).
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee data entry, storage, and retrieval processes.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and implement data backup and recovery plans.
  • Generate and analyze system reports to support financial decision-making.
  • Work with staff to create custom reports and queries as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements based on system data.
  • Lead and participate in projects related to system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with vendors and consultants as needed.
  • Stay updated on new features and best practices through continuous learning.
What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience required.
  • Strong technical skills with accounting software and databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
