Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a highly responsible position that reports directly to the Business Manager to ensure all DOH business functions are in line with DOH policy. The Accounting Services Analyst B will support the fiscal operation of Bradford and Union County Health Departments and New River Community Health Center and must be able to adhere to deadlines strictly, have excellent customer service skills, be well organized, and have a professional demeanor. This position is based in Bradford County but may require to Union County.
Reconciles deposits and prepares accounts receivable code stripping.
Create requisitions, ensuring proper coding and budget authority for all purchasing requests.
Purchasing/Receiving Agent including obtaining requests/quotes for procurement and service agreements per DOH guidelines.
Accounts payable, including preparation of refunds for Bradford and Union County Health Departments.
Assists with budget planning, monitors, and adjusts encumbrances, and processes TR58s.
Certified Contract Manager for FDOH Bradford and Union Counties.
Deposit Custodian for Bradford and Union County Health Departments.
Prepares a variety of fiscal reports in FDOH and State of Florida web portals.
Assists with budget planning, monitors, and projects expenditures, assists staff with budget and expenditure maintenance.
Actively participates in planning meetings, attends staff training/meetings, complete EARS within established timeframes. Other duties as assigned. Requires participation as a team leader in disaster training and response operations including preparedness activities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Skills with data collection and analysis.
Skills obtaining quotes/soliciting bids from vendors.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-year experience working in a fiscal position.
Minimum of 1-year experience purchasing or procuring goods and services.
Minimum of 1-year working knowledge of accounting or financial management systems.
Minimum of 1-year cash handling experience.
Minimum of 1-year accounts payable experience.
Minimum of 1-year accounts receivable experience.
