Job DetailsJob Details:As a Permanent Accounting Specialist (AR and AP) in the Construction industry, you will play a pivotal role in our finance department. You will be responsible for managing both our accounts receivable and payable, ensuring that all financial transactions run smoothly and efficiently. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to apply their expertise in a dynamic and growing industry.Responsibilities:As an Accounting Specialist, you will:1. Handle the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, including billing, collections, and vendor payments.2. Perform cash applications, credit applications, and post deposits.3. Conduct intercompany billing and reconcile intercompany accounts.4. Conduct vendor research to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate payments.5. Monitor past due accounts and take appropriate actions to ensure timely collections.6. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.8. Use SAP software for financial management and reporting.9. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.Qualifications:To be considered for this role, candidates should have:1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable and payable, preferably in the construction industry.3. Strong knowledge and experience with cash applications, intercompany billing, posting deposits, credit applications, vendor research, and monitoring past due accounts.4. Proficiency in SAP or similar financial management software.5. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.8. A proactive approach, with the ability to identify and resolve issues before they become problems.9.
