Job Description

The Operations department of the Crum & Forster Accident & Health division is looking for a multi-talented individual to join the Operations team. This is an entry-level accounting position that will interact internally with Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims, Compliance, IT, and externally with the divisions business partners.

What you will do:

* Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries, as well as monthly reinsurance statements for ceded program business

* Perform general ledger and bank reconciliations

* Assist with providing documents for internal and external audit requests

* Perform ad-hoc projects and assignments under the direction of senior personnel

* Assist in monthly, quarterly and year-end closes

* Act as backup for other functions within the accounting unit

* Participate in the improvement and documentation of financial and operational processes

* Develop and maintain positive relationships across functional teams to resolve issues

* Contribute to a cooperative team environment in order to meet department deadlines

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $39,900.00 to a maximum of $58,500.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee's contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
