Complete month end duties such as journal entries, labor and expense analysis, sales and cogs analysis and balance sheet account reconciliations. Perform accounting processes related to inventory receiving confirmations and accounts payable data review and general office support processes. Confirm inventory receipts data to packing lists and file supporting paperwork. File Accounts Payable invoices and supporting documents. Review purchased material standard cost for accuracy. Assist with (co-chair) quarterly physical inventory counts and fixed assets annual Physical Inventory and tagging of fixed assets as needed. Monitor inventory value report for abnormalities & process adjustments as needed. Complete month-end accounting close duties such as journal entries, review health insurance, labor analysis, intercompany charges. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Other Functions for growth/cross-training opportunities: Support all payroll processes within the plant and serve as a liaison between employees and payroll department for all time, supplemental pay, garnishments, etc. Prepare internal report of payroll, overtime, etc. Support internal/external audit requests and reporting. Support special requests/reports as needed. Support BOM audits with Production Control (PC) and Manufacturing and participate in BOM cost deconstruction (tear downs). Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: Education: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience: • Minimum of four (4) years of work experience in an Accounting role in a manufacturing environment. Personal/Technical Skills: • Must have knowledge of basic cost accounting, business finance, standard cost and inventory valuation. • Requires an understanding of the interrelationships of cost accounting and data processing. • General understanding and working knowledge of basic accounting principles. • Ability to maintain specified financial files, records and logs (specifically Excel spreadsheets). • Ability to research and compile data to prepare reports, recaps and summaries (visualization). • Thorough knowledge of company accounting/financial reporting procedures, policies and requirements. • Language Skills: • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of Japanese or Spanish is a plus). Computer/Software: • Requires strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (i.e., Oracle) experience helpful, but not required • Solid working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (e.g., Work Environment/Conditions: Office: Open Office Environment, moderate noise level.
