- Review financial statements and make necessary adjusting entries
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Provide QuickBooks support to other key business users by being the primary point of contact for training and support
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax preparation working with other accounting team members
- Assist in the preparation of tax filing documents ie 1099s, etc.
Accounting Specialist Qualifications:
- Strong experience using QuickBooks
- Ability to work on-site in Rochester NY
- Strong written and verbal communication skills dealing with others inside and outside the company
- Maintain confidentiality with appropriate financial details and sensitive information with high integrity and professional discretion
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrated experience working in a small company environment with the ability to take on a variety of activities with an interest in growing and advancing your career.
- Minimum of Associates Degree plus 2 years accounting experience
