This temporary position is located in Raleigh, NC - Wake County. Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Environmental Quality. This position is located at 512 N Salisbury St, Raleigh, NC 27604. This position supports all Section programs and goals through budget and purchasing procedures, as follows:
- Process accounts payable for section and regional offices. Prepare Code Sheet for payment to vendors within one week of receipt of invoice. Research and answer questions regarding status of payments to vendors, reconcile and post transactions charged with procurement card on a regular basis, and prepare motor fleet logs on monthly basis.
- Reviews and compiles appropriate data from various reports. Retrieve P-card unreconciled reports and reconcile. Review
- expense reports within one to two working days and submit for reimbursement. Research and answer questions regarding status of reimbursements. Process cash bank receipt deposits within one to two working days of receipt.
- Prepare e-requisitions in e-procurement for equipment and all supplies. Request quotes and prepare paperwork needed to forward to purchasing services. Receive all purchases in e-procurement system when items are delivered.
- Complete other related assignments as assigned by Division Business/Budget Officer II and Division Director.

- Working knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of and ability to explain and apply the provisions of the standardized accounting practices adopted by State Government.
- Demonstrated experience in communicating information to federal, state, municipal and/or local officials, or the public, using oral and written communication skills.
- MQ Criteria:
- Experience using the North Carolina Financial System (NCFS) and/or
- Experience with Fixed Assets, Surplus and Motor Fleet management.
