Job DescriptionThe Accounts Payable Analyst analyzes and processes Accounts Payable for the Water Heater, Air Conditioning, Replacement Parts, Canada, and Corporate Divisions. This position requires ensuring vendor payments are made per agreed upon payment terms, addressing Rheem vendor inquires, and processing PO and non-PO invoices within the Esker optical recognition solution and Oracle Accounts Payable. Additionally, this role entails reviewing the work of the Accounts Payable Specialists, supporting process improvement initiatives, and working in coordination with the Nuevo Laredo and Atlanta Shared Services teams.This position will serve our Enterprise Division, located in Montgomery, AL (Hybrid)Responsibilities
- Serves as an Accounts Payable team lead.
- Reconciles vendor account statements with the data in Esker and Oracle Accounts Payable to identify and address vendor payment issues.
- Reviews and approves the invoice processing activities of the Accounts Payable Specialists.
- Ensures adherence to vendor payment terms and timely and appropriate communication with vendors.
- Works in coordination with the Nuevo Laredo and Atlanta-based Accounts Payable teams in support of standardized processes and optimal support of the operating units.
- Serves as a key contact for internal stakeholder inquiries.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Accounting or other finance-related field.
- Requires broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education often with little prior experience.
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 1 year prior relevant experience.
- The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education (3-4 year University degree).
- Experience working in an Accounts Payable function.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrates ability to work well with others is a matrix team environment.
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks and communicate clearly and concisely with vendors.
- Experience working within a large Accounts Payable team with challenging deadlines and changing priorities.
- Ability to adapt to new processes, procedures, and team structures.
- Demonstrates ability to consistently meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrates ability to compose responses to vendors in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, auditors, and division accounting groups.
- Ability to organize and analyze data using Excel pivot tables and V Lookups.
- Experience in Oracle or ERP accounting systems.
- GL accounting experience.
- Experience using Esker and Oracle Accounts Payable.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
