We are seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our team! Responsible for the payables, cash disbursements, and related tax reporting of various Self-Help entities in accordance with the Accounts Payable & Cash Disbursements Procedures Manual.Ensure that items presented for payment are in good order and the related payments are accurate and timely.WHAT You'll DO:
  • Ensure prompt payment of staff submitted invoices for various Self-Help entities using multiple software platforms including Sage, Yardi, and Blackbaud.
  • Complete reconciliation and accurate general ledger coding for accounts payable transactions, engaging with staff accountants and controller periodically to update coding procedures with evolving reporting needs.
  • Perform appropriate research and follow-up while delivering excellent courteous service to both internal and external customers.
  • Reconcile company master credit card charges and ensure staff are reconciling and submitting their credit card expenses in a timely fashion.
  • Execute ACH transactions for employee expense reimbursements; Provide technical support for credit card expense platform (Concur) to Self-Help employees.
  • Manage Concur Invoice platform ensuring staff are trained on software and that bridge program importing transactions from concur into accounting software is working properly.
  • Work with data intelligence group and Concur support staff as necessary to troubleshoot bridge program.
  • Ensure accurate filing and record retention for accounts payable and cash disbursement records.
  • Provide reporting to IRS as required, including preparation of annual 1099 and 1096 forms;
  • Perform other duties as may be deemed necessary.
WHAT You'll NEED:
  • Associates degree in related field OR equivalent related experience.
  • 1-2 years' of experience in account reconciliation or accounts payable experience.
  • Strong commitment to our mission - creating economic opportunity for traditionally underserved communities.

  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Familiarity with MAS 200, Yardi, Blackbaud, Concur and/or credit card processing software and aptitude to quickly learn other systems as needed.
  • Demonstrate basic Math skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships with team members and branch and operations staff.
  • Good writing skills.
  • Ability to adapt easily to changing priorities.
  • Ability and willingness to work beyond normal work hours, as needed.
