Summary of Position: Accounts Payable Associate will play an integral role in the success of the department. They will be responsible for accounts payable functions for the company's vendors and employee reimbursements.
* Charge expenses to appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers by analyzing descriptions on vendor invoices, check requests, or rent vouchers.
* Enter new or update existing, vendor names and data including W-9 and 1099 information.
* Ensure that all payments have received proper authorization.
* Accurately enter invoice records into the system for payment.
* Process checks timely and accurately, issuing stop payments when necessary.
* Maintain accounts payable records in accordance with records retention policies and procedures.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Associates in accounting or related field.
* Two or more years of accounts payable/receivable experience.
* Experience with financial systems and accounting principles
* Detailed oriented and organized work ethics.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office with advance expertise in Excel
