Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk Location: Philadelphia, PA Industry: Accounting Pay: $23/hour About Our Client: Addison Group is working with a client in the Philadelphia area to fill an Accounts Payable Clerk position. The company is a small, family-oriented business offering a collaborative environment with opportunities for growth. This is a contract-to-hire role, with the possibility to convert after 3 months. Job Description: The Accounts Payable Clerk will manage vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and assist with accounting tasks including monthly close and year-end processing. You'll also support with general office duties and help resolve discrepancies in collaboration with various departments. Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices and statements.
- Conduct three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and goods receipts.
- Resolve pricing discrepancies and receipt issues in partnership with Purchasing & Receiving.
- Enter and scan A/P invoices into Sage X3 system.
- Manage inventory and direct expense entries.
- Address vendor issues and handle administrative tasks.
- Support with check processing and issue on-demand checks as needed.
- Assist with the monthly close process, including handling freight and drop shipments.
- Prepare year-end reports and reconcile vendor statements.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience required.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask.
- Familiarity with accounting software, with experience in Sage X3 preferred.
