Summary:This position receives, organizes, and processes invoices to be paid utilizing accounts payable software. This position is fast-paced with a constant stream of invoices that need to be processed. The person who will excel in this position will be an energetic person who can learn quickly about the bank's general ledger accounts and departments and develop ways to improve the accounts payable process as INB continues to grow.RequirementsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain the daily flow of the accounts payable process, including but not limited to opening mail daily, processing invoices into accounts payable software, ordering checks, preparing disbursements, maintaining accounts payable files, processing corporate credit card accounts for payment.Review outstanding unapproved invoices. Follow up with internal staff to ensure payments are processed in a timely manner.Maintain vendor W9 files, process year end 1099 tax forms for vendors. Ensure vendor management information is accurate and up to date. Process and document IRS tax obligations such as semiweekly 945 tax withheld payments and quarterly use tax payments.Complete in depth daily, monthly, and/or as needed analysis of select internal accounts.Develop working relationships with internal departments and management.Assist finance with printing monthly board reports. Writing and maintaining procedures.Other duties as assignedSkills and Abilities Required:General knowledge of accounting and understanding of the general ledger accounts and how they relate to invoices.
