H&S Family of Bakeries includes Northeast Foods, H&S Bakery and Schmidt Baking Co. Together, our baked goods can be found in a wide range of establishments, from fast food and quick-service restaurants to cafeterias, hospitals, grocery stores and universities. Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing vendor invoices, check requests, and expense reports. This entry-level position offers opportunities for growth within the organization. The Accounts Payable Clerk will maintain accurate records of all vendor payments, file paid invoices weekly, analyze workflow processes, and develop relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of payments and accounting processes, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and excellent communication skills. Six months or more of related experience is preferred. Role & Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable for multiple bakeries using Solomon.
  • Maintain accurate records of all vendor payments.
  • File paid invoices weekly.
  • Analyze workflow processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of bills while following departmental procedures.
  • Process daily/weekly bank deposits and check runs.
  • Assist accountants with pulling invoices for auditors.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education: - High School Diploma required. Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Good understanding of payments and accounting processes.
  • Six months or more of related experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, including public interactions.
  • Ability to generate written communication.
  • Proficiency with mathematical entries.
  • Operation of computer keyboard and a ten-key calculator.
  • Ability to retrieve and replace work-related materials from storage area.
  • Other duties as deemed integral by management, including adherence to work schedules and operating rules.
