Shenandoah University's Purchasing & Accounts Payable Department is accepting applications for an Accounts Payable Clerk. This is a full-time, entry level, benefited position located in downtown Winchester, Virginia.Required SkillsResponsibilities:Assist in the processing of a variety of items for the Purchasing and Accounts Payable office while ensuring appropriate documentation per the University's policies and procedures.Complete and/or assist the department with the following tasks:Various administrative/office tasksAccurate data entryVendor statement reconciliationsProcess invoices and disbursement checksReimbursement processingPrepare contracts for paymentsProcess requisitions and purchase ordersPurchasing card reconciliationsOther duties as assignedRequired ExperienceQualifications:Excellent communication and organizational skillsA working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Google preferredStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamAble to work under pressure and meet deadlinesProvide great customer service in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of purchasing, accounts payable, and/or general accounting preferredA minimum of 1-3 years of office work experience is required, and 2-3 years of college education is preferredHow to Apply:The complete application will include a cover letter, resume, and contact information for three professional references.
