Apply principals of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare reports. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the duties enumerated.
- Perform routine processing of revenues and contributions, receipts accounts payable, and payrolls.
- Perform monthly closings; prepare and submit reports to the Divisional Finance Manager and to the Corps Officers by the 15th of the following month.
- Perform analysis of various ledgers and reports as required by the Divisional Finance Manager and the Corps Officers.
- Review reports, reconciliations, budget variances and financial trends with the Divisional Finance Manager, Corps Officers and Divisional Headquarters Officers as necessary.
- Prepare monthly and annual closing entries and reports.
- Assist the Divisional, Territorial and/or Independent Auditors with audit preparations and requests for information as needed.
- Assist the Divisional Finance Manager and the Corps Officers in the budget preparation process.
- Enter the budget into the accounting software system.
- Maintain contact with the Corps Officers and representatives in all matters related to the financial recordkeeping and processing for the corps.
- Scan all documents into digital form and ensure clear resolution and completeness of all data for each corps.
- Assists the Divisional Finance Manager in compliance with TSA record retention requirements.
- Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and Salvation Army policies and procedures.
- Driving is an essential function of the position.

Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneEducation and/or Experience: Associate Degree in business or a related field preferred, and/or a minimum of 2 years of related experience. - Thorough knowledge of SalesForce, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and ability to access pay, personal and timekeeping data via a web-based system.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Must have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Mathematical skills to include add, subtract, multiply, divide, use of common fractions and decimals.
- Must be a highly skilled self-starter, manage important projects and maintain focus from beginning to end of event/promotion.
Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside.
