Job DetailsJob Details:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations and is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take their career to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounts payable procedures and a proven track record in financial reconciliations. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry. Responsibilities:As an Accounts Payable Clerk, your primary responsibilities will include:1. Processing and verifying invoices in a timely and accurate manner.2. Performing daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.3. Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.4. Paying vendors, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies.5. Maintaining historical records by filing documents both physically and digitally.6. Protecting organization's value by keeping information confidential.7. Completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.8. Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.9. Assisting in month end closing and annual audits.Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need:1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within the construction industry.2. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.4. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.5. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliations.6. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.8. The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.9.
