Description We are providing a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in FLUSHING, New York. The individual will be part of a team within the finance industry, responsible for managing and executing transactions related to accounts payable.Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team for invoice matching- Solve any potential issues by applying your understanding of basic accounting principles- Assist in managing the fixed asset process with your foundational knowledge- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the team by demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt- Ensure smooth operation of account payable functions without the need for heavy accounting tasks such as reconciliations or General Ledger work- Leverage your basic understanding of accounting software to facilitate tasks. Requirements - A minimum of an associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.- Comprehensive knowledge and expertise in Accounts Payable (AP).- Familiarity with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks.- Strong numeracy and data entry skills.- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot numerical errors.- Good organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks.- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.- Willingness to continue learning and improving accounting skills.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
