We are now seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Manager to join our growing team and ensure the seamless management of payables across our multiple locations. Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for managing the entire accounts payable process across multiple locations, ensuring timely and accurate payments. This position is responsible for entering payables, performing check runs, maintaining bank note schedules, reconciling bank accounts and entering accruals in accordance with GAAP. The ideal candidate will have experience in overseeing AP functions for multi-location businesses, strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively manage vendor relationships and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the accounts payable process for multiple locations by entering invoices, managing invoice approvals with department managers and processing check runs
- Reconcile payroll and bank accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Oversee the AP month-end close process, including accruals in accordance with GAAP
- Maintain equipment note schedules with our lenders
- Report and remit sales and other tax to applicable states
- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting information
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure proper general ledger coding
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and implement process improvements within the AP function
- Any other duties, as requested by management
Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience handling accounts payable for multiple locations is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable
- Strong knowledge of payroll and bank reconciliation processes
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
