Job Description:
DescriptionWe are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager for our client in Chapin, South Carolina. The role will be focused on overseeing all aspects of the accounts payable function, maintaining strong relationships with vendors, and managing a team of 3 accounts payable staff.Responsibilities:- Manage the daily operations of the accounts payable team, including invoice processing and vendor relations.- Review and approve invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to resolve disputes and ensure timely payments.- Perform monthly reconciliations of vendor accounts and general ledger accounts.- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis.- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards.- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the accounts payable process.- Lead and develop a team of accounts payable staff.- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action.- Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.Requirements- Prior experience as an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager- Proficiency in account coding and data processing- Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems- Experience with ADP - Financial Services- Proficiency in using Concur software for expense management- Knowledge of accounting functions and accounts payable (AP)- Understanding of accrual accounting principles- Experience in auditing and automated clearing house (ACH) processes- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive financial information- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail- Strong communication and leadership skills- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferredRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
