We are looking for a skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead our Accounts Payable team and drive the department's success. This position requires a professional who can inspire and develop the accounts payable staff while ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and operational efficiency. As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee daily operations, implement effective control measures, and collaborate closely with team members to achieve timely, accurate, and compliant payment processing.
In this role, you will manage a variety of responsibilities, including delegating tasks, providing direct support to team members, processing invoices and payments as appropriate, and monitoring the quality of work produced by the department. You will also design, implement, and maintain departmental policies and procedures to enhance productivity and ensure the integrity of financial data. Effective communication and collaboration with over 160 departments across campus is essential to ensure that invoices and expense reimbursements are processed and paid in a timely manner.
To succeed as an Accounts Payable Manager, you should have strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent leadership abilities and a thorough understanding of accounts payable functions are crucial, as you will be responsible for mentoring and supporting the professional development of the accounts payable staff. The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-oriented, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of financial accuracy and compliance throughout all departmental operations.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree
* 5 years AP experience
* 3 years supervisory experience
* Extensive knowledge of accounting and management principles
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency with computers and software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Workday software)
* Strong planning and problem-solving skills
* Ability to analyze information and processes
* Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
