Reporting to the Sr. AP Manager, this individual is responsible for leading and managing day-to-day activities for the central US division of Atkore's Accounts Payable department.What You'll Do:Lead and manage day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable departmentOversee compliance in making payments to vendors per payment termsPerform monthly closing activitiesMaintain compliance with internal controls and audit requestsPerforms other duties as assignedEmbrace culture of continuous process improvement by driving process improvements and developing KPI's for the departmentWhat You Bring:Bachelor Degree in finance or accounting requiredMinimum 2-4 years of experience in management demonstrating the ability to drive a team for resultsMinimum of 2 years of procurement/accounting experience in a multi-facility environment preferred; Basware, JDE or another ERP experience a plusEffective verbal and written communication skills; good organizational skills , ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize.Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook strongly preferredWithin 3 months, you'll:Complete your Atkore immersion programUnderstand how your job will help deliver Atkore's strategyReview and meet with key department personnel and supervisors on functional statusComplete month-end reportsBegin learning process of applicable JDE ERP system modules and Basware softwareWithin 6 months, you'll:Understand key vendors and any uniqueness of applicable invoice processingHold monthly performance meetings with departmentUnderstand banking files and transactions, as well as vendor banking payment setupContinue learning process of applicable JDE ERP system modules and Basware softwareWithin 12 months, you'll:Be proficient in applicable JDE ERP system modules and Basware softwareParticipate and assist with special projects and JDE assimilation's with new company addsDevelop goals and KPI metrics for the departmentJoin our team and align yourself with an industry leader!Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
