$23.07 - $36.91 Hourly$47,989 - $76,782 AnnuallyThis position is a Pay Band 65Posting DetailsVISION: All New Mexico families and young children are thriving.MISSION: Optimize the health, development, education, and well-being of babies, toddlers, and preschoolers through a family-driven, equitable, community-based system of high-quality prenatal and early childhood programs and services.The Early Childhood Education and Care Department was established on July 1, 2020. The Department's aim is to create a more cohesive, equitable, and effective early childhood system in New Mexico. That means coordinating a continuum of programs from prenatal to five and ensuring that families in every corner of the state can access the services they need.Interviews will be conducted within two weeks of closing date. Why does the job exist?This position is responsible for processing all incoming bills for the Department by entering vouchers into the SHARE Financial system. It includes tracking bills submitted to the Administrative Services Division, ensuring compliance with protocols, and ensuring timely payment of bills. Additionally, this role prepares operating transfer approval requests for submission to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), trains employees on travel documentation preparation, submits W-9 forms for suppliers to the DFA's Financial Control Division, audits and processes travel vouchers, and handles travel/training purchases (including lodging, airfare, and registration) using a P-Card. How does it get done?The employee must be knowledgeable in using the SHARE Financial system to enter payment vouchers. They should be capable of working with Adobe to attach supporting documentation for these vouchers. Knowledge of DFA travel policies is essential for auditing travel vouchers. Additionally, the employee should be proficient in Excel and Adobe. Who are the customers?Families of New Mexico, Early Childhood Education and Care Department Leadership, and other state agencies. Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate should have expertise with the SHARE Financial system, including entering payment vouchers, auditing travel reimbursements (ISTE), and managing multiple Excel spreadsheets related to expenditures. Additionally, they should be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Adobe, have experience working with a Procurement Card (P-Card), and be skilled in reconciling documentation associated with the P-Card. Minimum QualificationBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Auditing or Business Administration and two (2) years directly related work experience in accounting, auditing, finance and/or budgeting.
