Job Description:

AP/AR Clerk - Insurance Monsey, NY $25 - $30 an hour Job Summary: The AP/AR Clerk will be responsible for performing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions for the company's commercial insurance and risk management services Responsibilities:

  • Records A/R (accounts Receivable) payments, from Customers, into QuickBooks and other industry specific software.
  • Processes accounts payable invoices and payments in accordance with company policies and procedures through QuickBooks and other industry specific software.
  • Reconciles vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepares and issues client invoices for services rendered.
  • Monitors accounts receivable aging and follows up with customers on overdue invoices/payments.
  • Assists with month-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Assists with financial reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Provides support to the finance team and other departments as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Strong planning, multitasking, time management and customer service skills are most
  • critical.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to present solutions when
  • faced with obstacles or challenges.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance and risk management principles is a plus.
  • Minimum two years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
