Due to current, as well as projected future growth, Echelon is currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to assist our Liverpool, NY based Finance Team complete day-to-day office tasks, communications, and accounting activities.Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist responsibilities include verifying invoices, processing payments, and performing account reconciliations as needed. Ultimately, you will work together with our accounting team to ensure our organization's expenditures are accurate and follow established process and procedures which are standardized across the organization.Duties and Responsibilities:Receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoicesValidate and enter vendor and service invoices into our ERP system (SQL database)Identify and resolve invoice discrepanciesSet up New Vendor accounts in ERP systemVerbally verify bank data to set up electronic paymentsWork with both domestic and international invoicesCollaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze and interpret financial dataWork with the organization's day-to-day financial transactions, including payables, corporate credit card reconciliations and other specialized tasksFile Invoices which have been entered on a daily basisWork closely with other Financial departments, i.e. Billing and Credit & CollectionsWork with additional departments such as Purchasing and SalesCharge expenses to accounts and cost centersVerify vendor accounts, address purchase order issues and invoice or payment discrepanciesKeep informed of regulatory requirements and best practices related to accountingQualifications:High School Diploma or GED required1+ year experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar roleIn-depth knowledge of accounts payable principles and accounting standardsHigh competency in accountingExcellent time management and organizational skillsExcellent collaboration and communication abilitiesStrong organizational skills and the ability to multi-taskIntermediate knowledge of MS Office, including ExcelEchelon Supply and Service provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
