That's why we joined 1% for the Planet as its first life science member, and have committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2029.The role...The Accounting Specialist reports into the Accounting Manager and will be a crucial part of the finance team, responsible for a broad range of accounting related functions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, customer service minded, motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment. This exciting role will be diverse, allowing the selected candidate to play a crucial role in developing and improving our practices across all accounting functions.Responsibilities...Daily AP operations, including but not limited to, vouchering, monitoring billing portals, uploading to invoice portals, inbox inquiries, weekly payment process, wire payments.Support the monthly accounting close by recording journal entries and accruals related to AP, AR, payroll, etc. Run month-end allocations and prepare supporting schedules as required.GL account reconciliations and preparation of financials.Backup for AR, including cash applications, collections, sales tax filings.Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary information and documents to perform annual audit.Provide general support for the Finance Department and undertake other tasks/projects as needed.Who you are and what you bring to the team...Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.5+ years of experience working in an Accounting Department.2-3+ years of full cycle AP experience.Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other products. (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)Strong analytical skills, critical thinking mindset, ability to troubleshoot.Proficient with spreadsheets.
