Job Description:
Job DetailsJob Location Corporate Headquarters - Linthicum Heights, MD Position Type Full Time Education Level High School/ GED Salary Range $23.00 Hourly Description The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to live, work, and connect with their community. Even though we are the largest self-directed services provider in Maryland with over 1800 participant employers enrolled statewide, our Fiscal Management Services (FMS) team is anything but impersonal. The work we do directly supports employers with I/DD in experiencing greater self-determination, independence, and choice. Expanding our administrative capacity when it comes to accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger activities is mission-critical work that allows us to live up to our mission as a team. As we build the future of self-direction in Maryland, the FMS Accounts Payable Specialist will play a key role in processing vendor payments, facilitating open communication, and directing the workflow of the A/P team. The FMS Accounts Payable Specialist will be a flexible, agile member of our team processing mileage reimbursements, reviewing invoices and budgets, and resolving vendor issues by answering phone calls and emails throughout the day. The ideal candidate for this position can work well independently and as part of a team, determine priorities, and maintain professional and responsive communication with coworkers and stakeholders with a customer service mindset. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, though a bachelors degree in business and one year of A/P experience is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required and knowledge of Intacct and Bill.com is a plus. The wage is $22.00/hour and the position comes with ongoing professional development opportunities and a competitive benefits package. This is a remote position, but the candidate must be able to travel to our Severn, Maryland headquarters or other Maryland sites for quarterly meetings as needed.
