Description We are in search of a skilled Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in the food retail industry located in New York. This role involves handling a variety of tasks related to accounts payable, including the management of account balances, payrolls, ledgers, and compliancewith regulations.Responsibilities:- Oversee the accounts payable operations, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and on time.- Manage the closing of financial records monthly and post month-end information, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.- Supervise and review tasks such as invoice processing, payment transactions, expense reports, and vendor maintenance.- Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintain accurate records and control reports.- Improve the accounts payable process by enhancing and enforcing procedures.- Conduct critical accounting tasks, including general ledger reconciliation, and assist with auditing tasks.- Evaluate and manage the use of Microsoft 365 tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounts payable functions.- Train the team to use Microsoft 365 applications in alignment with company practices. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.- Prior experience in Accounts Payable supervision or management within the retail or food store industry.- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM is essential.- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed.- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are required.- Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices is necessary.- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.- Must have leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop staff.- Experience with financial software and systems is required.- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.- Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent time management skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and developments.- Must have high ethical standards and integrity in detail oriented conduct.- Excellent customer service skills are required.- Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
