Job Description:

Our Corporate Accounting team supports all of our business units here at VGM. As the Corporate Accounts Receivable and Billing Manager for VGM Group, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of the billing, collections and verification/authorization teams in the VGM Corporate Accounting Department. The manager oversees the department's function in order to support the revenue growth of the company while also ensuring the department operates in accordance to local, state and federal regulations. This role must have at least 2+ years of accounting and finance experience, especially with billing and accounts receivables, and have proven success leading a team.

Reporting to: Controller, VGM Corporate Accounting

Working Location: On-Site in Waterloo, Iowa

Work Hours Classification: Full-Time, 8am-5pm CST with additional hours a needed, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities/Duties of the Job:

* Assists in developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures.

* Supervises staff members and work functions on a day-to-day basis.

* Review and/or prepare daily, weekly or monthly reports as required.

* Review accounts of all clients with outstanding invoices and devise, track and report status to management.

* Consults and communicates with all members of the department and management on a regular basis to coordinate and address department progress in support of revenue growth.

* Ensures all departmental goals are met, work quality is achieved, and issues and results are communicated.

* Reconcile billing and payment discrepancies related to billed Accounts Receivables.

* Ensures all documents are in order and submitted timely.

* Monitors and evaluates work productivity standards.

* Provides effective communication skills to team members, accounting peers, management, VGM business leaders and external customers.

* Maintains a high level of confidentiality.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

* Bachelors degree in Accounting desired; 2-year account degree with significant accounting management experience required.

* Minimum 2+ years of related accounting/finance/accounts receivable experience.

* Minimum 2+ years of management / supervisory experience in a team environment.

* Proven success leading an accounts receivable and billing team is strongly preferred.

Skills and competencies:

* Adept working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.

* Strong understanding of various software systems applicable to the billing/collection functions. Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws relating to financials of a company.

* Ability to analyze complex problems and recommend/implement solutions.

* Excellent interpersonal and customer serve skills with ability to communicate with all levels of employees with an organization as well as communicate effectively with all external customers/vendors/health care providers.

* Strong written communication skills to include presentation skills.

* Excellent attention to detail.

* Excellent organization and time management skills.

* Excellent ability to multi-task

* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

* Operation of office equipment and using technology efficiently such as computers, phones, misc. office equipment,

* Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision,

* Time will be required periodically in the VGM office for pertinent work and meetings etc.
