Nations Roof is seeking an experienced and professional Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist to join our team. This position will be 100% in office with a Monday-Friday schedule at the Fresno, CA location. Nations Roof, one of the largest commercial roofing contractors, ranked in the Top 5 Roofing Contractors in the US. Our projects range in scope from large-scale new construction to complete tear-offs, re-roofing and renovations of existing building exteriors, and on-going roof maintenance, inspection, and repairs of all major commercial roof systems. Purpose: Take direction and process the day-to-day invoicing and collections for all customers with the highest level of efficiency. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
- Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Manager and other staff.
- Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
- Relays changes of information to appropriate employees
- Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
- Make bank deposits as required.
- Post deposits to the accounting system.
- Collection of past due invoices through phone calls and emails.
- Inbound and outbound calls and/or emails daily.
- Answer the phones.
- An ability to produce a high-volume output while maintaining an attention to detail.
- Receives, organizes, and maintains all construction documents.
- Other general administrative duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
- High School degree or equivalent
- BA/BS degree, preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel Word Outlook Power Point)
- Basic Accounting experience (Experience with Viewpoint, SAGE, Timberline, SAP, or similar construction platform preferred, not required)
- Prior manufacturing or similar construction accounting experience is preferred for position.
- Ability to give instructions and clearly explain problems or situation
- Must be team orientated and be willing to perform based on the company's Core Values
