About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Accounts Receivable and Collections Manager to join our dynamic Revenue Accounting team. In this critical role, you will create and execute effective, streamlined credit and collections policies, enhance efficiency in daily operations and month-end close, evolve reporting and metrics to drive insights, and lead project-based initiatives to enable business scale.

Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead daily AR operations, including streamlining payment applications, managing billing inquiries, and executing strategic collection outreach.
  • Develop and implement robust metrics to track and report key AR and collections KPIs to internal stakeholders.
  • Create and implement a credit check process for new customer applications.
  • Establish collection strategy and dunning process, including appropriate reminders, collections, and deactivations.
  • Manage AR-related month-end close procedures, including:
    • Comprehensive cash and AR reconciliations.
    • In-depth AR aging analysis.
    • Thorough bad debt assessments and write-off recommendations.
  • Lead evaluation of AR system needs, orchestrate RFP processes, and oversee implementations.
  • Pioneer process improvements and automation initiatives to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Establish strong cross-functional relationships with Sales, Legal, Finance, and other key stakeholders as a strategic business partner.
  • Serve as key liaison during financial audits, ensuring compliance and effective control in the AR and Collection area.
You may be a good fit if you:
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Have a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in AR, Collections, and related accounting practices, ideally in a high-growth tech company.
  • Have 3+ years of management and leadership experience.
  • Have a deep understanding of AR-related accounting principles, GAAP standards, and financial operations best practices.
  • Have exceptional attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex datasets.
  • Have outstanding communication skills; proven track record of engaging stakeholders and clients effectively.
  • Have strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Have proficiency in Excel; experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and Stripe.
Strong candidates may also:
  • Have comfort with ambiguity and minimal supervision.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high curiosity and ability to dive deep.
  • Have knowledge of change implementation and impact prediction.
  • Be willing to roll up sleeves and get hands-on.

The expected salary range for this position is: Annual Salary: $175,000—$175,000 USD

Logistics

Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.

Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
