Position DescriptionAt a GlanceLegrand has an exciting opportunity for anAccounts Receivable Associateto join the Data, Power, and Control Division in Somerset, NJ. TheAR Associatewill support the daily operation of the accounts receivable function, including data entry for cash receipts and SPA claims, coordinating chargeback documentation and credit memos, and communicating effectively with internal and external customers. Support customer credit background checks and monitor customer credit hold list.Main Job Duties:Record, verify, and post payments per accounting policiesPrepare credit analysis for customer credit applicationMonitor customer credit holds and release customer ordersCreate and distribute invoices to customersWork with an online banking program to retrieve cash receiptsResponsible for data entry of SPA claim dataMaintain and reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate and timely receipt of paymentsInput and distribution of credit memosRespond to customer inquiries and research discrepanciesSpecial projects and other data requirements as neededOther duties as assignedQualificationsEducation:High School diploma required; college coursework in accounting is preferredExperience:Minimum 2 years experience in an credit/collections is requiredSkills/Knowledge/Abilities:Customer Portal ManagementBasic understanding of accounting functions and knowledge of economics, sales, and marketing is requiredRequires close attention to detailThe ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors is requiredMust have professional and effective verbal and written communication skillsProficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems requiredCompany InfoAbout LegrandRepresenting more than 150 years of innovation, Legrand is the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures.
