Accepting Applications until filled.Starting Salary Range $43,573 - $59,283Job Summary: The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for the daily accounts receivable processing function, including processing daily deposits, matching daily deposits to invoices, creating monthly ad hoc invoices, monitoring accounts receivable balances and communicating with internal and external business partners. As needed, creating and maintaining accurate accounts receivable records. Other responsibilities include verifying invoices and deposits are coded accurately.Essential Job Duties:
  • Process daily deposits in Accounts Receivable (AR) System and General Ledger System (GL), including reviews GL for coding accuracy.
  • Process monthly and ad hoc invoices.
  • Communicates with both internal and external business partners to research and resolve issues as needed.
  • Analyzes data and reports any problems or discrepancies to management.
  • Creates and maintains accurate records, including deposit files.
  • Reconciles GL accounts for Month and Year-ends.
  • Prepares Month-end and Year-end accruals.
  • Prepares reclassing journal entries.
  • Records statistical info in AR System.
  • Supports MNAA's commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence (RISE).
  • Maintains regular and on-time attendance.
  • Follows all safety regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:
  • Accounting and Auditing Principles: Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and auditing principles in the publicsector.
  • Accounting Applications: Skill in using Windows-based accounting applications.
  • Accounting: Skill in applying generally accepted accounting principles and accounting operations to organizationalfinancial needs.
  • Communication: Skill in communicating effectively at all levels of the organization and with stakeholders, both orally andin writing.
  • Computer Use: Skill in using a personal computer, the internet, and other software to perform job- related functions.
  • Managing Workload: Skill in organizing and prioritizing work, handling multiple responsibilities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Microsoft Office: Skill in using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Microsoft Windows: Skill in using the Microsoft Windows operating system.
  • Reporting: Skill in preparing and producing timely and accurate oral and written reports.
  • Attention to Detail: Is careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
  • Independence: Develops one's own ways of doing things, guides oneself with little or no supervision, makes independentdecisions, and depends on oneself to get things done.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
Qualifications: Required:
  • H.S. Diploma
  • Less than 2 years related experience.
Preferred:
  • Associate's Degree
  • 2-4 years related experience.
