Accounts Receivable Clerk SUMMARY The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for billing and payment collection of all event and group functions. This position is a member of the high-volume Group Billing Team as the first point of contact for event planners, as well as our Sales and Conference Services team. The Accounts Receivable Clerk supports the Credit Manager and Accounts Receivable Supervisor within areas of credit, collections, and billing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Job duties include; although are not limited to:
- Validating and organizing all event charges and generating accurate and timely invoices
- Researching and resolving missing or discrepant charges to ensure highest levels of billing accuracy
- Reviewing and tracking all incoming payments via credit card, check, and wire transfer
- Keeping an accurate record of event accounts and aging balances
- Providing billing expertise, problem resolution, and outstanding service levels to our valued clients, guests, members, and associates
- Addressing and solving guest/client billing questions and issues
- Securely handling client data and payment information according to company and industry standards pertaining to PCI compliance and accounting best practices
- Attending regular pre-convention and bill review meetings with resort leadership and event planning contacts
- Maintain strong relationships and clear communication with resort Finance, Reservations, Sales, and Catering and Conference Services team members to ensure client needs are understood and met
QUALIFICATIONS - High School or equivalent education required.
- Previous experience in Hospitality preferred
- Previous experience in Accounts Receivable preferred
- Excellent organizational skills required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems. Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours a day. Walking and standing are occasionally required. This position requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
