Job Title: Accounts Receivable/Collections Part Time Department: Accounting Reports To: Accounting Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-exempt Pay Grade: 04 Approved By: Controller Approved Date: 06/13/23 SUMMARY Responsible for oversight and collections on all assessment customer accounts and coordination of third-party collection efforts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Provides customer service for all collection phone inquiries related to assessments.
  • Acts as the liaison for all third-party services to maximize collection of assessment dollars.
  • Coordinates sending late notices for all assessment accounts due.
  • Facilitates proactive collection calls for past due assessments.
  • Monthly reconciliation of related subledger receivable accounts.
  • Provides property, member, and delinquency metric reports to management weekly and monthly.
  • Works jointly with Member Services as needed for customer service related to assessments.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School graduate or equivalent. Good customer service and phone skills. Attention to detail and experience with managing data records required. 2-3 years' experience with accounts receivables or collections preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two- step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Requires a valid Arkansas driver's license and clean driving record with proof of liability insurance.
