Job Description:

A/R Coordinator - Philadelphia (Old City) - $70-80k

Our client, a well-known commercial office real estate/property management group in Old City, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join their team.

In this role, you will manage and ensure the accuracy of financial records related to tenant rent payments and other income for the company. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the company's cash flow.

Responsibilities:

  • Process rent payments received from tenants through various methods (cash, check, online payments)
  • Apply rent payments to the correct tenant ledger accounts
  • Manage security deposits, including processing refunds and applying them to outstanding balances
  • Issue invoices and statements to tenants for rent and other charges
  • Track and monitor outstanding accounts receivable and initiate collection efforts for late payments
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in tenant accounts
  • Reconcile accounts receivable with the general ledger
  • Generate reports on accounts receivable activity, aging reports, and other financial metrics
  • Respond to tenant inquiries regarding billing and account statements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in accounting or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role
  • Prior real estate A/R experience is required
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and real estate software (Excel, Word, JD Edwards, MRI, Yardi, etc.)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
