Accounts Receivable LeadCompany ProfileSan Antonio Shoemakers (SAS), a San Antonio, Texas based privately held company, has been in business for over 40 years and has developed a reputation as a premier American manufacturer of high quality comfort footwear.Position:SAS has an opening in the Accounting Department for an Accounts Receivable Lead who will report to the Head of Accounting.Job Responsibilities:Supervises staff and manages the credit, collections, and billing processesWorks with senior leadership in recruiting, onboarding, performance evaluations, and ongoing training for team members.Identifies problematic AR aging buckets and assigns accounts to their team for resolutionDocuments, analyzes trends on collection activities to communicate to stakeholders as appropriatePrepares reports on data as directed to support departmental and company goals on metrics and KPIsOversees and assists in any cleanup of unapplied payments, short paid invoices, transfer of payment and charge backs on customer accountsDevelops and administers credit and collection programsMaximizes revenue through detailed review, analysis, and follow-up on all pertinent customer accounts, denials, and rejectionsOversees investigation of credit risk for new and existing customers and advises on course of action for creditDesigns and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivable agingCreates and implements strategies to increase the number of successful collections on outstanding accountsMonitors and Implements policies and procedures that maximizes department effectivenessCommunicates with customers to build and maintain a strong working relationshipManages the month end close process of the accounts receivable moduleInteracts with multiple departmentsCommunicates and facilitates special projects and requests as neededRequired:Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or an experience equivalent to degreeExceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracyExcellent verbal skills with the ability to accurately explain your workExcellent written communication skills with ability to present dataInterpersonal skills sufficient to engage with management to exchange information influence and persuade.Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically ExcelThe ability to work in a team environment and within cross-functional team(s) in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.The ability to maintain confidential information and ability to work with deadlines.Be a flexible, strategic team player with infallible integrity and ethical standards.Be someone who strives for high performance and uses technical skills effectively with a demonstrated emphasis to detail and accuracy.Possess the ability to multi-task and work in an organized, detailed manner under limited time frames & tight deadlines.Preferred:Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, etc.)Experience with ERP systemsKnowledge of Microsoft D365/ERP as an ERPBilling or coding experiencePhysical Requirements:Physical labor is often necessary for 8 hours or more per day with breaks approximately every two hours including sitting, climbing stairs, standing and walking.The ability to lift up to 15 pounds.The ability to input data (typing) into a computer for long periods.I have read and understand the duties, responsibilities and qualifications of this position and acknowledge that I can perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodation.
