What are we looking for?

Primary job responsibilities include assisting clients with billing/statement problems, posting checks and wires, and balancing/auditing accounts. Provide effective communication with clients and staff while handling inquiries and issues in a courteous, professional, and timely manner. Must be flexible and disciplined enough to multi-task and handle a variety of tasks.

Where you will have an impact:

  • Research & apply daily checks to accounts. Post wires when given by Manager.
  • Download lockbox files and complete reconciliation as needed.
  • Work closely with clients, brokers, and TPAs on various problems and concerns regarding billing, statements, and eligibility issues.
  • Research, reconcile, audit, resolve, and make balance adjustments on accounts when necessary.
  • Prepare statements for any that require mailing via U.S.P.S., emailing in pdf format.
  • Download lockbox data from banks daily.
  • Manage tracking of adhoc billing in NetSuite to track and apply funds as received.
  • Responsible for supporting collections activities and calling, mailing, or emailing past due accounts for collection as necessary.
  • Filing of monthly statements.
  • Establish work procedures and processes for the Billing Department that support company and departmental standards and strategic directives.
  • Maintain and support any SOC-related control activities, retaining evidence as needed per definition.
  • Regular reliable attendance is required.

What's necessary to do the job?

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in Accounting – Accounts Receivable and Collections.
  • Experienced and skilled in working with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Prefer previous customer service and accounting experience or knowledge. Excellent computer skills and proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets.
  • 2-3 years of Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience in the insurance, health, or vision care industry preferred.
  • Also requires excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with clients via phone and written correspondence. Experience and ability to prioritize multiple tasks appropriately.

As a result, Associates must explicitly adhere to all data security guidelines established within the Company's Privacy & Security Training Program.

The wage range for applicants for this position is [$20.19 to $21.63].
