Job Description: We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative to join our client's team. In this role, you will manage accounts receivable tasks, including billing, collections, working with payors, and following up on outstanding claims. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare AR and a strong understanding of revenue cycle processes. You will mostly with workman's compensation claims, to resolve denials, underpayments, and other AR issues. - Work through an accounts receivable queue and utilize multiple EMR systems to follow up on claims
- Collaborate with offshore teams to assist with aging and follow-up
- Handle AR emails related to insurance changes or claim inquiries
- Pull medical records and work with payors to resolve issues
- Manage and resolve denials, underpayments, and discrepancies
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of payor systems, fee schedules, remits, and revenue cycle terminology
- Experience with reporting in the revenue cycle and using clearinghouse tools
- Ability to work with various insurance companies and resolve underpayments, denials, and aged accounts
- Tech-savvy and comfortable working with multiple systems and payor portals
- Anesthesia billing experience is a plus, but not required
- Workers' compensation billing experience is beneficial
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines
- Ability to adapt to changing processes and systems
