RiverView Health, is a community owned, membership based non-profit organization that was formed in 1898 and continues to be the sole community hospital in Crookston, MN.

RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

Responsibilities:

RiverView Health has a full-time (80 hours every 2 weeks) Accounts Receivable Representative position open. The Accounts Receivable Representative is responsible for receiving and processing all payments patient payments made in-person, on-line payments, payments from insurance companies, and third-party payments - on a daily basis, including electronic, lock-box, and paper payments. This staff member is expected to accurately post payments and adjustments, identify undistributed payments and credit balances, and document all activities in the patient account. The Accounts Receivable Representative supports the overall financial health of the organization by ensuring payments are appropriately applied to accounts and identifying and reconciling variances in a timely manner. Salary range is $17.95 - $25.13 and starting wage is dependent on experience.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification/Licenses

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Associates degree in accounting or business preferred.

Required Experience

  • One year or more of customer service experience.

Preferred Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in billing or clerical work.
  • 1-2 years of experience in payment posting and reconciliation.
  • Experience using EPIC software system.
  • Knowledge of insurance billing and reimbursement.
