ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST POSITION: To assist their growing business, Midland Tool is seeking to hire an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position requires strong analytical skills, research, communication, planning, and processing independently with confidence. OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Process customer invoices with a high degree of accuracy Ensure that all shipped orders meet the mandatory requirement for invoicing Applying cash receipts with a high degree of accuracy Follow-up internally on any exceptions and issues that delay invoicing an order or applying cash Assist with month-end close accounting activities. Improve the efficiency of the A/R process by identifying areas for process improvement Cross-training and backup responsibilities in the following areas: Customer credit application processing Vendor invoice processing Return merchandise authorization (RMA) processing Other duties, as assigned QUALIFICATION: Excellent interpersonal skills Go getter who wants to grow with a company Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to interface positively with coworkers, customers, and suppliers to create effective working relationships Intermediate working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP system(s) desired Two or more years' hands-on work experience in Accounts Receivable or other area in finance and accounting is preferred Associate degree or Bachelor degree a plus Ability to pass a background check The Company offers a rich benefits package, including paid time off, Medical Insurance, 100% Employer paid Dental Insurance for employees and their families, Vision insurance, Company-paid Life Insurance, STD and LTD, and a 401(k) with Company match.
