Job Type Full-time Description SUMMARY: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is a full-time hybrid position based in the Baton Rouge office. The Accounts Receivable Specialist ensures the administrative and financial health of projects throughout the entire project cycle and performs various project-related accounting and reporting tasks to promote project success. In addition, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will lead various initiatives and projects to improve department performance. This position will report to the Accounts Receivable Manager. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience working in a similar or related capacity
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required but relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint, Deltek products, or other project-based software is preferred
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft products, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must be detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Able to work independently and consistently achieve deadlines
  • Must be able to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepares and issues a high volume of invoices to clients
  • Works closely with Project Managers and Accounting team
  • Enters new project data into Deltek Vantagepoint
  • Prepares and issues AR statements and letters for delinquent accounts
  • Leads collection efforts for delinquent accounts
  • Discovers bottlenecks and develops efficiencies in processes to improve department performance
  • Assists with month-end reconciliation reports
  • Prepares and reviews complex government-specific invoices
  • Solves payment and receivable discrepancies
  • Responsible for the creation and implementation of processes to monitor project financial health to ensure projects are profitable and within budget
  • Actively reviews and assists with the maintenance and data integrity of Deltek Vantagepoint.
  • Collaborates with the Accounts Receivable Manager on ad-hoc basis
  • Supports fellow team members to ensure their efforts are successful. Acts in lead role capacity to assist the Accounts Receivable Manager.
