Job Description:
The Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage the invoicing and collection processes for the company's accounts, ensuring timely and accurate handling of financial transactions. This role involves maintaining the integrity of credit documents and managing the aging of the assigned portion of the receivables portfolio. Key responsibilities include supporting customer credit assessments, handling credit line adjustments, and managing customer account maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle new customer credit applications and updates to existing customer credit files, including compliance with export control protocols.
Conduct regular collection calls on overdue and soon-to-be-due accounts.
Resolve disputes and issues related to billing and collections with customers.
Verify and audit batch invoices against customer purchase orders for accuracy before submission for payment.
Manage the auditing and processing of project invoices, ensuring alignment with project files and customer purchase orders.
Process customer payments via credit card and manage refunds.
Perform audits and process invoices related to Letters of Credit.
Support annual or periodic audit processes by preparing necessary documentation.
Review and manage customer Tax Exemption Certificates.
Liaise with external collection agencies for account escalation when necessary.
Develop and maintain detailed procedural documents for all financial processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
At least five years of experience in accounting, with a focus on customer account management and credit limit assessments.
Extensive experience in high-volume collections.
