We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will manage accounts receivable processes, ensure timely and accurate receivable deposits, customer payment posting and be responsible for collections for our commercial construction services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor aging accounts receivable and proactively follow up on outstanding balances.
- Communicate with clients to resolve billing discrepancies or payment issues.
- Post payments to customer accounts and reconcile monthly ledgers.
- Prepare ageing reports and provide updates to management on the status of accounts.
- Collaborate with project managers and accounting team to ensure accurate job costing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding collections.
- Handle lien waivers, new customer set up, and related construction documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Maintain accurate records of collections and communications with clients.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable and collections, ideally within a commercial construction environment.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable and collections, preferably in the construction industry.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite software.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging client situations professionally.
Compensation details: 35000-55000 Yearly Salary
