Your core responsibilities
- Utilize customer pricing agreements to collect on outstanding balances in a timely manner
- Assist in the improvement of cash collections by identifying trends within the AR department
- Openly and consistently communicate any irregularities, trends, or concerns to management
- Continually follow up with management and other departments to ensure efficient processing
- Gather and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting data for the AR department
- Evaluate denials and partial payments and determine if further reimbursement is valid
- Submit appeals within relative state Workers' Compensation guidelines to facilitate payment from customers
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers to track and target aging accounts to meet performance standards
- Identify and request adjustments to customer accounts as necessary per Workers' Compensation guidelines

Minimum must-haves
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of experience in workers' compensation collections and appeals required
- Strong working knowledge of CPT & HCPCS codes, modifiers, and ICD9-10 codes
- Solid understanding of individual state Workers' Compensation guidelines and fee schedules and their impact on billing and collections is required
