Accounts Receivable Specialist Job descriptionPneumatech Safety Systems is a rapidly growing upstream oil and gas company. We are based in Tyler, Texas and are currently looking to add an accounts receivable specialist to our accounting team. Primary Responsibilities
- Sending and verifying invoices for goods and services
- Entering data on accounting statements
- Resolving account discrepancies and overseeing collections
- Preparing invoices for approval and submission
- Communicate with field employees and office staff on a daily basis
- Provide quality customer service within each incoming and outgoing telephone calls and written requests.
- Identify opportunities to better a process and participate in the successful execution of that change.
- Perform document retention functions for the department
- Maintain contact with the Team Leader and /or immediate supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Conform with all company policies and procedures
- General office work consisting of document retention and processing.
- Preparing and updating extensive Excel spreadsheets
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
- Various administrative/secretarial/office/clerical duties
Qualifications Education
- Associates degree in accounting or related field experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel)
Experience
- High Volume Accounts Receivable: 2 years
- Microsoft Excel: 3 years
- Preferably 2 years experience with QuickBooks
- Extensive knowledge of receivables processes
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interact professionally with vendors, clients, and internal teams to constructively resolve issues and resolve problems
- Excellent problem-solving and resolution skills
- Ability to participate in and contribute to process improvement projects and departmental initiatives
- Able to complete projects in a timely manner as assigned by department supervisor and other members of management
- Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material
