SC&H's Corporate Accounting Team is searching for a talented Accounts Receivable Specialist to support and assist the SC&H Corporate accounting function with all aspects of the Accounts Receivable process including invoice preparation for clients, invoice backup documentation to comply with client invoice specifications, aging analysis, and execution of receivable collections. Also, this position with collaborate with our Accounting and Finance teams on an ad-hoc project basis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ready and maintain financial and business transactions in Intacct
- Ensure the company receives timely payments for consulting services
- Work with other departments to ensure that the correct amounts are collected in a timely manner
- Consider the need for new or changed controls
- Ensure the adequacy of the accounting system as the basis for reporting to management
- New client set up
- Bank Reconciliations
- Monthly email to client statements
- Some Month end schedules reconciliations
- Send clients to collections when asked
- Schedule of AR Reserves
- Please note that this position requires a minimum of 4 days a week in office at our Sparks, MD Headquarters
Day-to-Day Duties
- Plan the manner in which account structures should be developed or modified
- Analyze the effects of transactions upon account relationships
- Evaluate alternative means of treating transactions
- Secure payment by verifying and posting receipts, and resolving any discrepancies
- Perform administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts
Qualifications
- Strong computer aptitude is imperative as several types of software are being used
- Strong organizational skills-able to multi-task and meet deadlines
- 3 years of experience in an accounting related position is preferred
- Familiarity with accounting and office procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Intacct accounting software experience is a plus Big Time, CCH Practice Management
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma required, courses in accounting preferred. A bachelor's degree or working towards one would be considered an asset
