Make a difference.Job Summary:To support the Accounts Receivable and Incoming Cash Collections functions of the Company, including posting customer payments to Accounts Receivable, reconciliation of payments to open invoices, tax exemption process, and follow-up on aged receivables. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Prepare bank deposits; ACH, check, credit card or cash.Ensure all customer payments are posted correctly and properly.Maintain customer relations in cash application process.Run cash receipts journal/reconciliation daily.Resolve customer complaints (related to invoicing).Provide requested copies of invoices or AR history.Communicate issues with customers and sales staff.Follow-up/resolution with NSF checks.Responsible for the Small Collections process, including maintaining relationship with preferred collection agency.Responsible for reviewing and preparing Lien Waivers.Complete customer credit reference requests.Assist with maintaining and updating customer credit files.Maintain Sales Tax Exemption Certificate compliance.Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required.Requirements:Associates degree with emphasis in accounting or business administration.Minimum of 2 years accounting experience.Working knowledge of accounting software applications and the ability to learn the use of the Company's financial system.Skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.Intermediate knowledge with Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of other MS Office applications.Understanding of local and State Tax Exemption rules and regulations.Working knowledge of Lien Wavier process and Lien Laws.Effective oral and written communication skills.Good analytical skills and the ability to apply them to changing requirements.Strong work ethic and high moral and professional standards.Pay Details: The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $18.00 per hour depending on experience.This position is fully in the office Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm.Why should you join Cape Electrical Supply?The company has specialized in providing a high level of service and a large available product offering of the industry's leading brand names.
