We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist in the New Albany, IN location. Job Summary Under minimal supervision and with great expertise perform all aspects of the accounts receivable function, including administrative tasks, collections, and maintaining accurate customer records. Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions) These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Communicate with clients and internal teams to collect receivables
- Process unique billings that may fall outside of regular operations, such as custom payment plans
- Update customer accounts based on payment or contact information
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date
- Verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
- Monitor incoming payments / ensure they are applied accurately
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger with the general ledger
- Resolve discrepancies between customer payments and invoices
- Handle customer inquiries regarding bills or payments
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing issues or disputes
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to accounts receivable activities
- Other duties as assigned and/or required

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
- Environment is typically general office, though the incumbent may spend short periods in the manufacturing/ warehouse environments with exposure including but not limited to dust, dirt, high noise levels, and variations in temperature.

- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant/similar work experience
